Louise Bhrrnan, Alg.ortquin Avenue - Expressed concern
regarding the current density and impacts to the pond, not
wanting to see additional impact-s- to the area. she is also
concerned with construction so close to the roadways and i
curious about the type of buffers additional vegetation
that will be required.
She made reference to the rotary emergency access road
that 'Shows on the plan going right through the buffer area .
She made further reference to the. proposed retaining wall
to be located at the edge of the pavement at the rotary
going down into the vegetated- buffer and the im-pacts that
will result . She is concerned with the drainage
requirements that this area will become wet and cause
concerns for mosquito control and loss of vegetation.
Her major concern is with the density from her vantage
point and impacts to the neighborhood.
Mr. Foley also expressed concern regarding the
proposed retaining wall for a. different reason. It is
extremely close to the road and the plan does not indicate
there will be a guardrail along the top, which is necessary
for safety purposes . He suggested that guardrails be
installed and that the gall itself be pushed out a little
further. He suggested that he review this area further in
terms of the buffer.
r. Rowley offered some suggestions, use of an
engineered block gall, decorative timber guardrail, and
planting vegetation at the base of the gall in an attempt
to conceal the bottom portion.
The Chairman agreed this matter should be further
reviewed and considered and that the Board would address
the matters of concern raised this evening.
There being no further Input, the Town Planner asked
ed
if the Board would life him to prepare a craft Decision and
outline setback making reference to the plans, for review
at the next meeting. If the engineering details have been
worked out with Mr. Rowley, a final vote could be taken at
the next meeting.
Mr. Bonvie requested a conditional approval this
evening from the Planning Board in order to proceed with
the Conservation Commission.
8
