The Town Planner commented that there remains quite a <br /> let of landscaping to be completed. <br /> Attorney Iirrane is under the impression -that the <br /> landscaping has been completed. <br /> Dennis Balarini stated he would not vote on this <br /> issue until such time as he has reviewed a satisfactory <br /> inspection report submitted by the consulting Engineer. <br /> It was the general consensus of the Planning Board to <br /> agree with Mr. Balarini' s requirement . <br /> Thomas ' Ha-ra suggested that the Des-ign Review <br /> Landscape Architect have the opportunity to make an <br /> inspection and review the landscape plan; to which the <br /> Board agreed. <br /> At this point the chairman recognized- Greg Taylor, <br /> Director of Department of Public Works, who has a concern <br /> regarding funding for the other commercial project in Torn, <br /> as well as a redesign of the South Sandwich Road <br /> intersection, that has not been provided. <br /> Mr. Taylor made re-ference to the Special Permit <br /> requirements for the other project; engineering was to have <br /> been completed by the developer, McShane Construction. A <br /> contract was signed with VHB on April 11, 2,007 for <br /> approximately Twenty-Five Thousand ($2 , o00 . 00) Dollars for <br /> the de' i n of the intersection. <br /> During the four ( .month period since that time, Mr. <br /> Taylor has been working with FHB and has contacted McShane <br /> Construction to review the plans that are approximately 7 <br /> completed. Two invoices, June and July, have been <br /> submitted, however neither has been paid. There have been <br /> no return phone calls to either the Department of Public <br /> Works or VHB by McShane Construction. <br /> Mr. Taylor informed the Board of his concern that <br /> funds not be released prior to completion of these issues <br /> and co itmen-ts that had a direct bearing on the <br /> consideration and approval of construction of the <br /> commercial project . <br /> The Town Planner clarified and made distinction <br /> between the funds being held for specific projects. <br /> 7 <br />
