May 17th was established as a target date for <br /> completion of the proposed changes/new bylaw regulations <br /> for the October Town Meeting. <br /> # - Has been set aside for the moment. <br /> # - The Town Planner is preparing a draft . <br /> # - Mashpee River, Quashnet River, Conservation <br /> Commission/Rivers' Act . <br /> The Town Planner reported the state Rivers' Act <br /> requires nothing within 100 feet of a river; and within an <br /> area of between 100/200 feet of raver the total area for <br /> clearing is 5, 000 square feet. This bylaw is much more <br /> restrictive than the existing Town of Mash Mashpee and Quashnet <br /> River Protective bylaw. The conclusion, with the <br /> Conservation Agent, is that the Rivers' Act is a very <br /> strand statute and that any further local regulations would <br /> provide no additional. benefit. <br /> 7 - Groundwater Protection District Zoning Bylaw - No <br /> amendments are being proposed at this time. Issues and <br /> concerns regarding nitrogen in the bays will be <br /> incorporated into item #1 . <br /> - Possible incentives for cluster subdivisions for <br /> nutrient mitigation in the O I , to be pursued at another <br /> time. <br /> # - Nutrient Reduction - The Chairman suggested the <br /> Board Members review the information provided by the <br /> Consulting Engineer for discussion at the next meeting. <br /> Miscellaneous Board Items <br /> The Town Planner informed the Board of a request to <br /> attend the February 6 to meeting of the Board of Selectmen in <br /> order to discuss the Ma bpee Commons Ring Road proposal . <br /> The Town Planner reported on a site Sri s,it he had made <br /> t Southport, C lobs ide Court area. There are a number of <br /> areas within the existing developed area where there are <br /> problems with the trees. A request has been made for the <br /> removal of those trees that are leaning over the buildings, <br /> and some that have been uprooted. <br /> 11 <br />
