i
The Chairman is hopeful that Mr. Talbot will consider
membership on the Blue Ribbon Committee as she feels
Conservation representation has been missing from the
committee. She feels that all Town Departments should be
involved in this matter; that everyone has to work together
for the west results.
The time has come to bring forth the action items
connected with t'he regulatory responsibilities, for
presentation at the October Town Meeting.
The Town Planner stated the Selectmen would like the
va-rious committees, sub-committees, and boards involved in
assisting the Planning Department with the Comprehensive
Plan to review the current document and comment by the end
f June in order to help make rev is-ions to the Plan. H
noted that the current Comprehensive Plan is based upon the
1991 Regional Poli-cy Plan, which has since been revisers
twice and currently working on a third revision'.
The Chairman expressed her concern regarding t-he
timefrae due to the Planning ord[ taff work load, and
the fact the Planning Department does not have an Assistant
Town Planner.
Lee Gurney reported her initial frustration with the
(slow) initial progress of the Committee. She was also
dissappointed that the Conservation Commission was not
participating initialler. She currently feels, however that
the Blue Ribbon Committee has made progress.
Discussion - DCPC Recommendations -
The Town Planner has set a target date- of May 17th for
bylaw amendments relating to upgrading the Water Quality
Report Bylaw, as well as amendments to the Cluster
Subdivision regulations to mare mandatory and include
provisions for bonuses and incentives) .
e is uncertain as to the work involved/expected b
the Selectmen regarding the Comprehensive Plan process.
He also suggested the series of amendments to the
Subdivision Regulations, be addressed after the Zoning
Amendments have been completed in May.
14
