• Rk <br /> Board Items <br /> Water Resource Issues <br /> The Chair man provided copies of correspondence with <br /> reference to the South Cape Beach- restoration prof ect <br /> through the We-tlands Restoration Program. <br /> She asked the Board Members to review this information <br /> for discussion at a later date. <br /> In 2001 the Cape Cod Commission compiled a report on: <br /> Tidally Restricted Salt Marshes throughout the Cape and <br /> provided a report for each of the fifteen Towns on Cape <br /> Cod. She provided the Mashp e report to all Board Members. <br /> There are six salt marsh areas identified and described a-s <br /> they existed at that time. She asked Board Members to pay <br /> particular attention to that site identified as MA- , which <br /> is the -South Cape Beach site that is currently undergoing <br /> reediation efforts. <br /> She also provided copies of a report describing the <br /> status of the South Cape Beach project . The project was <br /> initiated by the Department of Conservation and the Waquoit <br /> Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. The goal is to <br /> assist in upgrading approximately fifteen acres of salt <br /> marsh. <br /> Report - Blue Ribbon Committee Meeting <br /> The Chairman provided copies of a proposed Board of <br /> Health regulation upcoming for public hearing on March 16 th <br /> for Planning Board review. <br /> She also provided copies of a Board of Health Action <br /> Item in connection with water resources, as well as copies <br /> of Massachusetts Category 5 haters "'Waters Requiring a <br /> TM DID" . <br /> The Chairman reported that Michael Talbot, dice <br /> Chairman of the Conservation Committee provJ-ded an <br /> excellent presentation at the last meeting. He strongly <br /> encouraged the Planning Board to proceed with the DCPC., and <br /> stated the Conservation Commission continues to s.t-rongl <br /> support the Planning Board in this regard. He has also <br /> agreed to assist the Planning Board in preparing a Town <br /> Bylaw that would expand Conservation jurisdiction. <br /> 13 <br />
