The Base provides assistance to the Barnstable County <br /> Emergency Planning Task 'Force. They have the capacity to <br /> provide housing to people in a local or national. emergency. <br /> Information regarding the Joint Land Use Study <br /> Implementation is posted on the Cape Cod Commission and <br /> Base websites. <br /> Flans are being made to relocate the snake Pond gate <br /> into the Base, as well a-s to relocate Greenway Road, in a <br /> attempt to alleviate traffic/privacy issues in the Town o <br /> Sandwich. <br /> Attempts are being made to cooperate with the state <br /> and local Police Departments with regard to offroad <br /> vehicles coming onto the Base. This raises serious <br /> concerns for public safety, natural habitat, and erosion. <br /> Poise contours recommendations - Changes and updates <br /> to the existing bylaws and building codes. Buyers should <br /> e made aware of their proximity to the Base when <br /> pu,rcha s ing property. <br /> Mr. Nickerson concluded the presentation at this point <br /> (10 : 25 p.m. ) . <br /> Planning Board Member, Myrna Duey, left the meeting at <br /> this time 1 : 2 p.m. ) . <br /> Other Items <br /> The Town Planner reported that he has. been contacted <br /> by concerned citizens regarding lights on docks and at the <br /> Half Tide Marina . The question has been raised as t <br /> whether the Torn should adopt a bylaw in regard to this <br /> matter. <br /> 1t was the consensus of the Board to review thi-s <br /> matter and to consider some action under the general <br /> bylaws . <br /> Correspondence <br /> The Town Planner reported on' a letter received from <br /> the Town Clerk requesting the Planning Board to schedule a <br /> Public Hearing in order to correct an error made regarding <br /> 1 <br />
