• <br /> MOTION: Lee Gurney made a motion to al low/approve the <br /> rem Oval of the following trees identified as 9 , 393, <br /> .9 , 60, and 379 on a portion of Sheet #4 of Grading and <br /> Utilities Plan dated August 17, 2004, and as recommended in <br /> her report by Planning Board Member, Myrna Nuer; which <br /> Motion was duly seconded by John Halachi.s and so voted <br /> unanimously. <br /> Discussion-PGA Lane/Pebble Beach <br /> Request for Tree Removal <br /> Mr. Bonvie then made reference to another group of <br /> trees located at PGA Lane. and Pebble Beach inspected by <br /> Myrna Nuey, the arborist, Southport residents, and himself. <br /> Everyone was in agreement that these trees should be <br /> removed for safety purposes. <br /> Mr. Bonvie made reference to the plan stating that it <br /> would require landscaping. He requested approval of the <br /> removal of said trees, subject to the submission of a <br /> landscape plan, as well as detail plans identifying the <br /> location of said trees, to the Planning Board. <br /> There was some discussion regarding tree preservation <br /> techniques, the promise of an arborist's inspection and <br /> report on a regular basis, as well as handout iftfor ation <br /> prepared by Casey Landscape & Arboriculture, Inc. , <br /> entitled, "Preventing Construction Damage at Southport" . <br /> t this point thO Chairman recognized Charlotte <br /> occuzzi, Southport Resident - Member of the Southport <br /> Landscape Committee, who expressed her support for the <br /> present procedure for saving trees at Southport. Her hope <br /> is that the trees selected to be preserved and protected <br /> will be healthy and viable. <br /> There being no further Board or Public comment the <br /> Chairman entertained a emotion with conditions . <br /> MOTION: Lee Gurney made a Motion to approve/allow the <br /> removal of four ( trees at PGA Lane and Pebble Beach, <br /> subject to the submission and approval of a landscape plan, <br /> which plan shall include replacement trees at least fifteen <br /> l feet in height; which Motion was duly seconded by <br /> Dennis Bal arini and so voted unanimously. <br /> 15 <br />
