• <br />The Chairman called this matter to order a-nd <br />recognized Mr. Rory Bonvie . <br />Associate Planning. Board Member Harvey Cohen reoused <br />himself from the discussion in this ratter in order to <br />avoid any possible conflict of interest as he is a <br />Southport resident. <br />Mr. Bonie reminded the Board of their prior vote to <br />appr ve the removal of five trees, subject to the <br />submission of a Landscape Plan to be approved by the <br />Planning Board. <br />None of the trees have been removed at this point. <br />Landscape Plan was presented to the Board, as prepared by <br />Brian Casey, Casey Landscaping & Aborculture. <br />The Chairman recognized Brian Casey who provided some <br />pictures in order to better see the site in question. All <br />trees to be -removed have been tagged in red. Revegetation <br />includes -rigor birch trees, 1-beech tree, I --maple tree, <br />various red chokecherry, , inkberry, blueberry, ferns, and <br />ground cover). <br />There being no Further Board discussion the Chairman <br />entertained a motion. <br />MOTION: Lee Gurney made a Motion to approve the <br />Landscape Plan, PGA and Pebble Beach, dated September 1, <br />, for tree removal and replanting; which Motion was <br />duly seconded by Dennis Balarini and so voted unanimously. <br />Discussion of Southport Path on Payamps Road <br />The Chairman called this matter to order and <br />recognized Charlotte Boocoui, who presented the Board <br />with copies of "'Proposed Paved Path to John's Pond" for <br />their review. <br />Mr. Bonvie informed the Board that they are trying to <br />avoid building a stairway, fearing it would deteriorate <br />over time. He made reference to the hand -drawn plan, <br />indicating the location of the path and noting that most of <br />the trees will not be disturbed. <br />5 <br />
