The Chairman asked weather or not the Association <br /> would be receptive to a change in the Special Permit <br /> regarding the use of organic fertilizers. She explained <br /> the Board' s concern with the use of organic fertilizers for <br /> large projects as opposed to commercial. fertilizers. <br /> The Chairman asked for Applicant' s consideration and <br /> commitment fok the exclusive use of organic fertilizers. <br /> She farther explained that the Board is making an attempt <br /> to control excess nitrogen through the use of fertilizer. <br /> Ir. O' Connor agreed to discuss this matter with the <br /> Project Manager. He did not voice any objection to this <br /> suggestion. ) <br /> The Chairman then asked about the timetable proposed <br /> by the DEP. <br /> Attorney Schaeffer responded, they have been given one <br /> year (from the date the settlement agreement is signed) in <br /> which to provide all applications and plans. Applicant is <br /> awaiting approval from the flown in order to move forward <br /> with the DP process. <br /> Per. O' Connor then informed the Board that after a <br /> brief conference, Applicant would be agreeable to the use <br /> f organic fertilizer. <br /> There being no further Planning Board comment the <br /> Chairman opened the floor to membersof the Public and <br /> recognized the following: <br /> Esther Joiner - Read into the record a statement <br /> prepared by Karen Cowan on behalf of the abutters to this <br /> project . "Mere we are again for the seventh time, the <br /> abutters who are opposed to the Stratford Ponds wastewater <br /> treatment proposed leaching field.. We have all exercised <br /> patience through our attendance at these public hea-rings -on <br /> the matter. The Planning Board has clearly exercised <br /> caution, and has listened to ou-r concerns as well as to th,e <br /> proposed plans that the Condominium Association has <br /> presented. This is evident by their well thought out, in- <br /> depth questions, and care in which they are representing <br /> the Town throughout this process . However, we are -still <br /> here corresponding, meeting, and debating this issue of <br /> mandated open space. It is clear to those directly <br />
