Rowley' s expertise <br /> regarding the groundwater flow towards the ponds , <br /> Lee Gurney expressed concern that the special Permit <br /> requirem nt of -ppm has not been taken into consideration <br /> and it now appears that this number cannot be met, even <br /> with the improvements being made at the -plant. <br /> Attorney Schaeffer stated the Trustees have opted to <br /> male certain improvements that should Delp a.nd that it is <br /> their hope to go below - pry nitrate/nitrogen, and below <br /> the DP required 10-ppm total . <br /> Lee Gurney suggested the residents be provided with <br /> information about dishwasher detergents, etc. that do not <br /> add tb the phosphorus levels . <br /> John O' Connor, Chairman of 'Stratford Ponds <br /> Association, informed the Board that information has been <br /> presented to the unit owners in the past about .prodcts <br /> that should not be put into the disposals (particularly <br /> fats) . <br /> He then spore on behalf of the residents of Stratford <br /> Ponds regarding the importance of this issue. This is an <br /> opportunity to not only benefit the residents, but to <br /> improve environmental issues as well by removing the <br /> leaching fields from the Zone I I. <br /> e also stated that Stratford Ponds ha-s made <br /> commitment to cooperate with the Town. Approximately <br /> $100, 000 . 00 has been spent over the past five or six years <br /> for improvements . He stated capital improvements are be,inc <br /> made to the plant through long-term financing in order to <br /> bring the plant up to capacity. He made a guarantee to <br /> provide the best possible equipment/results and to <br /> cooperate with the Town in order to meet the -ppm <br /> regulation. <br /> Mr. O'Connor made an appeal to the Board on behalf of <br /> the residents of Stratford Ponds, to consider their <br /> proposal . <br />
