t <br /> Other Items <br /> Myrna Nuey inquired about the flooding situation at <br /> the Stop & Shop entrance . <br /> The Chairman informed the Board of a conversation she <br /> had with Mr. Taylor, the DPW Director regarding the <br /> drainage issue at the- Stop & Shop entrance. The storm <br /> drain in question. is not located on "Town property. Mr. <br /> Taylor has been reluctant to respond to Mashpee commons' <br /> request for the Town to take responsibility. However, Mr. <br /> Rent of Mashpee Cormuons, the Stop & Shop Manager and Realty <br /> Division have been involved in discussions regarding the <br /> matter of responsibility. At this point no re301ution has <br /> been- made. <br /> It was the general consensus of the Board to notify <br /> the Board of Selectmen and mare then aware of the safety <br /> factor that exists on Mashpee commons property at Great <br /> Neck Road North where a storm drain consistently overflows <br /> and floods the roadway. There is great concern for public <br /> safety especially as the cold weather approaches. The <br /> Planning Board is looking to the Board of Selectmen for <br /> some enforcement resolve to this hazardous -situation. <br /> The Town Planner agreed to prepare the memo. <br /> Popponeset Waterways Permit Application <br /> Sage Ppneset Bay, Inc. <br /> The Chairman read the request into the record. "'For <br /> maintenance, dredging, and beach nourishment off Wading <br /> Place Road in the Municipality of Mashpee and an overflowed <br /> tidelands of Popponesset Creek. The proposed project has <br /> been determined to be water dependent . "' <br /> The 'Town Planner explained this is a State regulation <br /> that relates to the fact that the State owns the land under <br /> tidal waters and if anyone deposits fill or constructs a <br /> dock on their property, a license is required for the use <br /> f State property. <br /> Adjournment <br /> There being no further Planning Board business to <br /> address, the chairman entertained a motion to adjourn. <br /> 6 <br />
