(ATC) has completed an environmental screening of the Federal <br /> Communications Commission(FCC) Special Interest items as outlined in 47 CFR, Section 1.1307(a) <br /> (1) through (9), for a proposed telecommunications tower site. The proposed tower site is located at <br /> 100 Echo Road in Mashpee,Massachusetts. Specifically,ATC conducted this research by consulting <br /> appropriate State and/or Federal Agency personnel and available published lists, files and maps. <br /> In accordance with Section 1.1307 (a), an evaluation was made to determine whether any of the <br /> listed FCC environmental categories would be significantly affected by the tower structure <br /> constructed at the site location. In the event that the site affects one of the categories the FCC <br /> requires that an Environmental Assessment(EA)be prepared with regard to that particular issue. <br /> Wilderness Areas and Wildlife Preserves <br /> According the USGS Topographic Map of the Cotuit Quadrangle dated 1974, the site is not located <br /> in a Massachusetts designated National Wildlife Refuge or State Park. <br /> Listed Threatened or Endangered Species or Designated Critical Habitat <br /> According to the Massachusetts Natural Heritage Atlas (2000-2001 Edition) published by the <br /> Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, Natural Heritage and Endangered Species <br /> Program, the site is not located within either an Estimated Habitat of Rare Wetlands Wildlife and <br /> Certified Vernal Pools or a High Priority Site of Exemplary Natural Communities. <br /> Proposed Threatened or Endangered Species or Proposed Critical Habitat <br /> According to the Massachusetts Natural Heritage Atlas (2000-2001 Edition) published by the <br /> Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, Natural Heritage and Endangered Species <br /> Program, the site is not located within either an Estimated Habitat of Rare Wetlands Wildlife and <br /> Certified Vernal Pools or a High Priority Site of Exemplary Natural Communities. <br /> \WTCOIVSYS\USERS\TELECOMIuacoast limited partnershipWashpeeNEPA Report\nepaltr.doc <br />
