Asphalt vertical curbs shall not be <br /> permitted, <br /> Project driveways shall be located at least 125 feet from any street intersection or any other <br /> driveway, measured from driveway center lines and from strut sidelines i.e. sidelines <br /> extended to the point of intersection with the sideline of the intersecting street, ignor+ng corner <br /> radii). only one driveway exit and one driveway entrance may be located along any street <br /> abutting the project, unless the Board determines that a greater number will provide a safer <br /> and more efficient access and egress to-the property. Direct driveway access to routes 28, 11 <br /> and 130, Great Neck Road North and South, Great Oak load, Red Brook Toad, Quinaquisset <br /> Ave., Cotuit toad, South Sandwich Road, Lowell Road, Old Barnstable toad west of Lowell <br /> Road, onna's Lane and Job's Fishing Road shall be prohibited inhere alternate access from <br /> other streets is available. Where a project has frontage on more than one street, driveway <br /> access shall generally be required to be from-the street.or streets with lower AADT. <br /> Driveway or street interconnections between adjacent projects shall be required wherever <br /> feasible in order to improve traffic circulation and reduce turning movements and travel on <br /> abutting major streets. Inhere a project abuts vacant property in the same zoning district, it <br /> shall provide f 'r future.interconnection to said property at points approved by the Board. <br /> Shared driveways are encouraged,, where feasible!. <br /> Paved sidewalks with a minimum width of four feet shall be required on one 1 side of streets <br /> having fire hundred oo to one thousand 1,000 trips per day and on both sides of streets <br /> having over one thousand 1,000 trips per day. The Board may also require sidewalks on <br /> other streets Sidewalks shall be separated from any roadway travel lane by a minimum of five <br /> feet, and from any parking lane or parking bay by a vertical barrier curb. <br /> Where required by the Planning Board, bicycle facilities shall be constructed along such streets <br /> in the form of two paved shoulder bike lanes with a width of at least four feet each or a' <br /> paged bike path or shared use path of sufficient width to accommodate expected use. Bike <br /> paths or shared use paths shall be separated from any roadway travel lane by a minimum of <br /> hve feet, and from any parking lane or parking bay by a vertical barrier curb. <br /> Bicycle facility design, signage, marking, as well`as bicycle parking facilities shall be consistent <br /> � g , <br /> with the guidelines contained in the ommon r ealth of Massachusetts' publication Building <br /> Better Bicycling,, latest edition. <br /> Pavement thickness and structure, subgrade design, roadway drainage and other rented design <br /> features for roadways, sidewalks and bicycle facilities -shall require the approval of the Board, <br /> and shall generally follow the requirements of the Board's Rules and Rr'ons Governing the <br /> Subdivision of Land, <br /> B. Parking Facilities. <br /> Parking shall be provided-in conformance with the requirements of the llashpee Zoning By-law. <br /> Parking in excess of those.requirements is generally discouraged. <br />
