approximately Zoo-feet of road. The distance to the catch basins
is approximately ' -feet, and approximately to -feet from the
intersection at Silver Leaf Lane. He recommended, for Board
consideration, that drainage issues/pavement be extended to that
point where the catch basins are located. This recommendation
being consistent with previous roadway issues in this area and
to complete the roadwork to that particular set of catch basins.
Mr. Rowley expressed concern for possible run-off impacts
caused as a direct result from partial pavement of the road. One
of the existing leaching basins is completely plugged. He
suggested the basin be dug-out by baclhoe in order to examine the
stones for sediment. The basins may only need to be cleaned and
protected from any additional sediment .
The Town Planner agreed that if a working basin is all that
is required by the Board at- this point, completion of the road
and construction of new drainage system could be required of the
remaining property owners at another date in time.
Mr. Rowley expressed his preference for Applicant to make
arrangements to have a backhoe at the site., and that he be
present for the digging so that he can inspect the condition of
the stone as it is exposed. Replacement stone will be necessary.
If it ,is found that the stone is contaminated., Applicant would
look to the Board for further instruction.
There was some discussion as to the extent of burden that
should be placed on the Applicant regarding the benefit to
properties he does not own.
The Board directed Applicant to contact the Consulting
Engineer to arrange an appointment for the digging of the basin
in question. This matter was then continued to the October 2,
2002 Planning Board Meeting.
Release of Performance Guarantee
John Sweeney - Pete Daigle - imon' s Road at Route 2
The Town Planner determined Applicant was not present; there
has been no communication responding to the Consulting Engineer' s
letter.
Correspondence
The Chairman made reference to letter regarding Emergency
Regulations issued by DHCD, as drafted by the assistant Town
Planner.
