Public Hearing <br /> Industrial Communication and Electronics, Inc. <br /> The Chain reconvened the Public Hearing in this matter <br /> (7: 50 p.m. ) inviting Ms. Calabrese to continue the presentation. <br /> bcample Transmitter Shelter Facade - Equipment building with <br /> shingled exterior with gabled roof . <br /> Potential Development Aerial view - Echo Road - In theory, <br /> the lot under discussion could be clear-cut if the proposed <br /> tower is not approved) approximately two acres and construction <br /> of a steed. building. <br /> The project being proposed would have a eery low impact use <br /> of the property, undisturbed significant natural resource area, <br /> minimal clearing, gravel driveway with minimal impervious <br /> surface. Because this property is located within a groundwater <br /> protection district benefits would result in there being n - <br /> site daily employees. This is an urn-manned facility requiring <br /> approximately four/five visits weekly (reading meters, etc. ) . <br /> The Chairman asked about disturbance to the wooded area. <br /> Ms. Calabrese stated the remainder of the wooded area being shown <br /> would not be disturbed. The DRI conditions state vegetation be <br /> maintained; the Mashpee By#l w requires a fifty-foot vegetated <br /> buffer surrounding the facility. Applicant also has control over <br /> the one hundred fifty foot easement area as outlined in the lease <br /> agreement that there be no further development or disturbed area. <br /> Aesthetics/Visual Impacts - Consideration was given to <br /> aviation concerns and proximity to the Base. Reference was made <br /> to the residential development located on Echo Road and the <br /> visibility of the tower. References were also made regarding the <br /> Lowell Holly Reservation/impacts. Ms. Calabrese provided <br /> photographs taken by the Cape Cod Commission demonstrating the <br /> visual impact of the tower. There is a limited view of the tower <br /> from the Holly Reservation. <br /> In conclusion, M. Calabrese made reference to a letter <br /> submitted to the Planning Board requesting a► waiver for the crane <br /> test p.m. ) . <br /> Applicant' s presentation having been concluded, the Chairman <br /> opened the floor to Board cormnent <br /> Don Myers asked if any alternatives had been considered <br /> regarding minimizing visual impacts. <br /> Ms. Calabrese responded that considerations have been made <br /> to minimize visual impacts to the residential development, to <br /> assure the lot remains completely vegetated, and by proposing a <br /> monopole structure., Because there is so much demand for this <br /> .. <br />
