Attorney Kenney concluded his presentation at this
point .
The Chairman recognized Attorney Myer Singer,
Dennisport, representing the Watts Family Farm, who
requested the Board consider certain items under the Zoning
By-law.
There are two provisions dealing with minimizing the
number of towers and visual impacts. He cited Section 1 . -
. F A personal wireless service facilities shall not be
located within open areas visible-from public roads . He
noted the proposed tower project being submitted is very
visible frd those specific areas identified =i-n the By--law.
Attorney Singer stated this issue could be applied to
both proposals, but 'that he was specifically addressing
this proposal (Industrial Communications and Electronics,
Inc. ) .
Richard 'Ferry asked Attorney Singer' s opinion as t
the number of towers .suf f icient to service the area .
Attorney Binder responded the total area would not
require three towers, it potentially requires two.
However, there is a. provision in the By-law which requires
Applicant prove there are nQ existing structures upon which
to locate. He stated there are currently two rater- tanks
under construction within the Town and it is his
understanding that two wireless carriers are being attached
to one of the tanks .
Attorney Singer suggested the Board request both
Applicants submit information from their carriers asking
whether or not they could use either of the grater tanks, it
is possible the tower needed on Echo load would not have to
be built to a height of 10-ft. All five. carriers will not
be attached at to-ft. Speaking to visual impact issues he
stated the possibility of building no higher than t o-feet
r so.
Richard Ferry asked how high the Sandwich tower will
be. Attorney Singer responded to-ft. free standing tower
in the middle of a farm where visibility will be low from
the Town of Mashpee .
