The home styles range in size from appro imately 1300 <br /> square feet to 1500 square feet. The goal being to create <br /> a community Which -truly represents affordability. <br /> The Town Planner stated he is most concerned about the <br /> wastewater issue. All of the proposed homes will be Title <br /> v systems which will create a heavy load to the river <br /> compared to much larger projects that have incorporated de- <br /> nitrification -systems/wastewater treatment facilities . He <br /> suggested the project be approved subject to some type of <br /> denitrification treatment on the property. He also <br /> suggested consideration of a shared system, sewer <br /> Commission involvement, and possible funding assistance <br /> available from fees collected by the Cape Cod Commission <br /> for projects located within the water shed. <br /> The Town Planner suggested more detailed plans be <br /> reviewed by the Consulting Engineer. In conversation with <br /> the Fire Chief this date it was discovered that there are <br /> safety concerns regarding the turn-around issue and the <br /> distance required between buildings. <br /> The Town Planner also noted that the plan that was <br /> .submitted is not the same as that which is being shown. <br /> His comments relate to the plan originally submitted which <br /> shows the turn-around as someone' s driveway. He suggested <br /> the Fine Department and Department of Public Works approve <br /> the proposed turn-around. <br /> The Town Planner .indicated his main concern is the <br /> wastewater issue.. <br /> Attorney Glenn stated Applicant is making are attempt. • <br /> to creme affordable housing . He stated the majority of <br /> housing within the Town does not have denitrif-ication. He <br /> stated it would be inappropriate to begin a deni:trification <br /> policy with affordable housing, approximately ninety <br /> percent of the houses located within the Mashpee Riven <br /> district are not de-nitrified. <br /> (Steve Dolan arrived at the. Meeting at this point <br /> P.M. ) <br /> t this point the Chairman interjected that this is a <br /> concern the Town is attempting to resolve, raising concerns <br /> with proposed development that does not take into <br /> consideration the serious condition of the Mashpee River <br /> 3 <br />
