Carp Cod Commission to open the discussion. <br /> She passed out a copy of the Staff Report and said that nothing has happened n the project <br /> since that time. She said that because f the large scale f the project, the M'ashpee <br /> Conservation Committee handed over jur-isdi'Ction. She went on to give some background on <br /> the special permit that was written back in 1964, what was proposed at that time, and how it <br /> has changed since than_ Da.nnis asked why they have to "decide" whether or not to ta-ke the <br /> project, especially in light of safety issues regardi'ng the Fire Department. Martha said that <br /> there were different things that would explain this. Tom Fud la explained that there was still a <br /> question as to whether or not ar modification of-the special permit was necessary; i.e., different <br /> r increased impact. Martha presented plans for review. <br /> Larry Carr from Earthte h, C n ultant'for New S ab ry rpgarding the MEPA pr ss, took the <br /> floor. He tanked about the special permit, issued in 1964, that showed much more development <br /> than is currently proposed. He said that total development d nsity will b less by ar significant <br /> margin. He explained that this is a ten year project that will spread out development; all f this <br /> will not appea r,ove rn'Ig ht. Section. Five was singled. out as a concern aEr a for wells. Maps were: <br /> 4; <br /> displayed and proposed development was xplarinedt which included.pointing out of new <br /> entrances. Water supply for New Sabury was detailed. He explained that there were no uses <br /> that would cause contamination in a zone two. <br /> Dick Terry brought up the issue of storm drainage and waste water treatment plant. Mr. Carr <br /> explained that,they have been in continual dialog with the water district. Torn said the big <br /> difference Is the area down by South C- pe Beach; modifications carve not with the special <br /> permit but. with deed -restrictions. Dick wanted to know how the MEPA final report would impact <br /> jurisdiction with CCC. There was some.detailed discussion regarding MEPA and timetables. <br />
