I <br /> f <br /> Mr. Megathlin made references to vegetated areas, an <br /> irrigation well, and vegetated basin, <br /> k; <br /> i, <br /> Mr. Megathlin then addressed the issue of water resources, <br /> stating an attempt is beingmade to schedule meetings e with <br /> Pirates Cove, the watershed Management Committee, and the Mashpee <br /> Environmental Coalition. Consulting engineers have also been <br /> hired. <br /> Mr. Megathlin stated meetings with the Mashpee water <br /> District have transpired, and they are very near signing a <br /> utility agreement. <br /> Mr. Megathlin stated the most advanced waste water treatment <br /> facility (amphrodome) is under consideration, operations and <br /> maintenance schedules, as well as initial groundwater permits are <br /> being coordinated with DEP. <br /> There was some discussion with reference to storm water , { J <br /> ill <br /> denitrification. Mr. Megathlin stated that approximately twenty- <br /> five (2 5%) percent of the runoff is to be discharged into the <br /> vegetated wetland. The vice Chairman stated his concern for <br /> untreated nitrogen going into the groundwater. The Board asked <br /> for clarification of this matter at the next meeting. <br /> With respect to nitrate, Mr. Megathlin stated he has r <br /> proposed between 2 . 7 and 3 . 1, which the Cape Cod Commission views <br /> favorably. He also stated the Cape Cod Commission is in favor of <br /> an on-site irrigation well. Mr. Megathlin stated he would be <br /> treating waste water from off-site facilities and that it was his <br /> intention to create an umbrella entity with DEP for shared. { ' + <br /> services. ' <br /> r, <br /> Mr. Megathlin stated the amount of fertilizer has been <br /> reduced in both land area and application. <br /> Mr. Megathlin indicated he would be willing to tie into a <br /> regional system, discharge pipe, or whatever is proposed by the f <br /> Town, subject to agreement of cost and location. <br /> Mr. Megathlin stated the only report that has not yet been <br /> started is the fiscal impact report, which is optional. He <br /> anticipated such a report would be available in January-February +,• <br /> 1999 for Planning Board review. <br /> Mr. Megathlin requested Planning Board guidance on any <br /> unresolved issues, those being: Route 28, the connector road <br /> financing, and parking lot locations, <br /> Chance Reichel inquired as to the permitting process.
