The applicant stated it seems there is no communication between town
departments , why did it get this far?
Pat explained they will not get a sign off tonight. It is your job to tell
im the Board why you are in compliance with the permit.
The applicant would like to know what they need for the next meeting.
Pat stated the Board would like to see a review of why you are in
compliance with the permit. It will be a problem if you can't convince 4
` members of the Planning Board that the private wells are not a problem. We
need input from the Board of Health.
Mrs. Antunes daughter said she hopes this never happens to anyone else.
Everyone is partly to blame in this situation.
✓ ** Tana made a motion to continue this matter to April 6th at 7: 15
p.m. Richard seconded the motion. All members in favor 4-0.
PUBLIC HEARING
)n Applicant: Laura C. Opie & John T. Peck
Location : West of Orchard Road, Map 69 , parcel 4
Request: Approval of 2-lot Definitive Subdivision plan .
Tony read the public hearing notice. Mr. Chris Costa, land surveyor was ! '
present representing the applicant. He presented the plan to the Board.
He explained he met with the Board several weeks ago. The Board made some
Dr4 recommendations that they have complied with. They have submitted a letter
outlining the requests for waivers.
1
Mr. Costa explained they have some reservations about the road design
suggested by Charlie Rowley at the last meeting. He brought another plan
that he thinks works just as well and he is comfortable with. This plan
has the roadway being constructed below the surface of the existing grade
with a very slight swail along the side, 6" deep, along the length of the
sts road. This is more cost effective and will function just as well . He also
suggested a paved apron at the entrance of the road.
Pat asked why this plan does not show hookup to town water?
er Mr. Costa explained that he called the water district and was informed that
it is not available. He was not given an answer as to when it would be
available.
The Board of Health approved the plan with the condition they tie into town
water within 6 months of it becoming available.
Catch basins must be MDC type.
m. Tony agrees that the water hookup should be shown on the plan. Mr. Costa
has no problem showing where it would go.
Tony read the letter from Mr . Costa requesting waivers: See attached.
Tony said he has reservations about this new cross section . If the ground
doesn ' t accept the water , it will go to the adjacent lot.
3
