A preconstruction conference shall be held at the beginning of each construction <br /> phase, at the beginning of each construction season and as may be necessary at <br /> other times for the purpose of familiarization with the work to be done.. The <br /> applicant shall be responsible for calling the preconstruction meeting at a time <br /> and place that is convenient for the applicant, contractor(s) and Consulting <br /> Engineer. <br /> 2. In general calls for inspections of construction shall be given by the applicant or <br /> his designee with at least 48 hours notice of when the inspection is needed. The <br /> Consulting Engineer shall abide by the 48 hour notice in as reasonable a manner <br /> as possible so that construction scheduling can be met. <br /> 3. Inspections that are called for with less than 48 hours notice shall be made at a <br /> time that is convenient for the Consulting Engineer. <br /> 4. Work that has been completed but requires an inspection and has been covered <br /> or backfilled prior to a call for an inspection or is covered or backfilled prior to the <br /> inspection having been done in a timely manner shall be uncovered for <br /> inspection at the discretion of the Consulting Engineer. <br /> 5. The applicant shall not be responsible for uncovering work that has been <br /> completed if the Consulting.Engineer fails to make an inspection in a timely <br /> manner as described above. However, the applicant shall be held responsible <br /> - for the properinstallation of all work whether the inspection was made in a timely <br /> fashion or not. <br /> 6. Emergency inspections can be called for at any time if the emergency involves a <br /> matter of public safety, public health or other true emergency. Failure of the <br /> contractor or,applicant to notify the Consulting Engineer for an inspection.. in a <br /> timely manner as described above shall not constitute an emergency. <br /> 7. In addition to any specific requirements contained herein, it is the obligation of <br /> the Applicant to keep the Consulting Engineer fully informed of the construction <br /> activities for the project. <br /> 8. As final project plans are being developed, the Applicant shall provide the <br /> Consulting Engineer with 50% progress drawings. <br /> Road Inspection <br /> 1. Drainage inspections <br /> a. when all structures and pipe are installed but prior to backfilling, <br /> b. when structures are complete including risers, castings mortared in place <br /> C. inspect excavation and sloping for all detention/retention areas, <br /> placement of outlet structures,.pipes, flared ends, dispersion stone and <br /> other such facilities, <br /> d.
