• Zoning Board of Appeals
Minutes
May 16, 2006
Jobs& Whiting Residential Neighborhoods Affordable and Unit Plans:
Discussion followed with regards to naming roads. It was disclosed the
Town Clerk has stepped down with respect to involvement in naming
streets.
The ZBA requested the developer change the name of the secondary road
currently referred to as Job Fishing Road South.
Lots 128-132 Jobs Fishing Road on the corner of Front Street were
reviewed. There are five townhouses. The lots have 18' of frontage with
the exception of the fifth unit which is located on the comer. Two cars are
proposed on each lot. The lots can be owned by the individuals.
With respect to the above frontage and number of vehicles, Mr. Storrs
indicated he would present on the plan how people would park their
vehicles. With respect to paving, Mr. Storrs added he would not dictate
• the amount of paving on property in concern towards impervious surfaces.
It was agreed that impermeable surfaces and run-off from each block
would be further addressed.
Mr. Riley agreed with the renaming of Jobs Fishing Road South and
related concern with respect to staggered parking. He recommended that
all parking be depicted on the right side of the road only in the matter of
safety. It was agreed that parking would be considered on the side where
the townhouses are to be located since it is a narrow street.
With regards to Lot 104 & 103; Colchester & Jobs Fishing Road, Mr.
Storrs indicated he would show on an enlarged plan, the designation for
vehicle or pedestrian use. Crosswalks will also be shown on the plan at
full intersections. The crosswalks noted as PS; pedestrian only would be
wheelchair accessible.
•
