He also complained that Mr. Salvi neglected to remove several poles for ,w <br /> months after the flea market closed for the season. Mr. Salvi said that some of the poles .A � <br /> were embedded in cement and he had to contract someone to remove them. 4 <br /> Mr. Salvi said that he never heard anything negative. He said that he even went across <br /> the street to pick up trash. Mr. Salvi said that cars and pedestrians passing by the flea 1 ' <br /> market also generate the trash in front. <br /> Mr. Regan said that he has a problem with the condition of the building and the signs and A �'a.14 <br /> that they look terrible. He said that a landscaping plan has never been required and that <br /> Design Review should be involved in making suggestions for landscaping improvements. <br /> Mr. Salvi said that the question of landscaping was never brought up by the Board last <br /> year. <br /> M+ <br /> ��! <br /> Mr. Salvi said that the flea market could not be operated without the tents. The heat and . <br /> humidity is too grueling for vendors and shoppers without tents. Mr. Salvi reiterated that .M�. <br /> he and his partner, Joe Marrama, are willing to do whatever they can to satisfy the <br /> Board's demands. <br /> Mr. Regan asked Mr. Hauck if the Building Department received many complaints ,.."'„� <br /> concerning the flea market last year. Mr. Hauck said that his department did not receive a <br /> many. Mr. Brem asked if the Zoning Enforcement officer could monitor the operation of A"., <br /> the flea market on a monthly basis. <br /> Mr. Regan said that the flea market has had problems with mobile homes being lived in <br /> on the subject property in the past. Mr. Salvi said that the only overnight parking was for <br /> security purposes, which the Board allowed. <br /> Mr. Nelson agreed that the landscaping leaves a lot to be desired, but questioned the <br /> wisdom of the Board to require someone who is renting a lot for a short period of time to <br /> perform any extensive amount of landscaping. Mr.Nelson suggested that the owner of u <br /> the flea market should be contacted. �1.. <br /> Mr. Regan disagreed and said that he has been listening for years that"this is the last <br /> time”that the flea market would be operated. He said that the applicant is not even aware + <br /> of the importance of what the Board is considering.
