All agreed. <br /> First Student Inc. —Requests a - I' <br /> q Special Permit'under Section 174 25.G.7 of the Zoning , <br /> By-laws for permission to park school buses on properties located in a C-2 zoning district <br /> at 10 and 16 Echo Road(Map 20 Blocks 25 and 26)Mashpee, MA. Owner of record of <br /> 10 Echo Road: Echo Road Realty Trust. Owner of record of 16 Echo Road:Eagle Realty <br /> Trust. <br /> Building Commissioner Russell W. Wheeler said that he is waiting for an opinion from <br /> Town Counsel regarding the legality of school bus parking on property located in a C-2 <br /> zoning district. Mr. Wheeler said that establishing the provision for educational use j <br /> would be helpful to First Student. <br /> Mr. and Mrs. Henry Desrosier, direct abutters across the street at 561 Main Street, <br /> expressed their concern with the extra fumes that would be generated by additional buses. <br /> Mr. Desrosier said that Laidlaw currently parks buses on Echo Road for the Towns of <br /> Mashpee and Sandwich. Mrs. Desrosier said that the construction trucks and buses create <br /> noise, dirt, and fumes all day long. Mr. Desrosier said that the wind carries the dust into <br /> their home during the summer. <br /> Mrs. Desrosier asked how many buses First Student plans to park on the subject property. <br /> Mr. Quinlan said it would amount to 25 buses. <br /> � l <br /> Mr. Regan recommended that the Desrosiers attend the continued Public Hearings and/or <br /> write a letter to the Board with their concerns. <br /> Mr. Jim Quinlan of First Student represented the Petition and stated that Zoning By-laws <br /> requires that school buses must be parked within Town limits. He stated that First <br /> Student was parking the buses at Dimaggio's gas station until February of this year. <br /> After being evicted from Dimaggio's, First Student has been parking the buses on it <br /> Thomas Landers Road in Falmouth. Mr. Quinlan stated that the Town has allowed First <br /> Student relief in order to find parking area for the buses. I <br /> Mr.Brem asked where else First Student has looked to park the buses. Mr. Quinlan <br /> replied that after checking the Zoning By-laws, First Student has checked with several <br /> Places on Echo Road. <br /> Mr.Wheeler confirmed that First Student has a problem because Mashpee does not offer <br /> many school bus parking choices. He stated that Industrial Drive is not much of an II <br /> option because it falls under the Special Permit for the Cape Cod Commission. <br /> h <br />
