SP-98-130 766 Falmouth Road, Unit 19 <br /> Map 88 Block 38 Unit 19 <br /> A Petition was filed on August 24, 1998 by Miller Starbuck Construction, Inc. for <br /> a Special Permit under Section 174-25.G.9 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to place <br /> two storage containers on property located in an I-I zoning district at 766 Falmouth Road <br /> (Map 88 Block 38 Unit 19), Mashpee,MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on September 25 and October <br /> 2, 1998, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, October 14, 1998, at 7:30 P.M., at which time the following members of the <br /> Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. <br /> Regan III and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Philip Miller represented his application by stating that he is now the owner <br /> of Unit 19, having purchased the property from Eugene R. Curry, Trustee, He submitted <br /> a letter from Madaket Place Condominium Association giving him permission to place <br /> the two storage containers at the rear of the parking lot. The permission is granted on a <br /> twelve-month basis. Mr. Miller informed the Board that his plan is to store ladders, <br /> pipes, staging, roofing and other similar materials in the containers. <br /> Comments from abutters included a letter from Madaket Mills Corporation <br /> opposed to the proposal stating that the storage containers would be a deterrent to the <br /> complex and reduce real estate values. Mr: Miller assured the Board that.as an owner of <br /> a unit at 766 Falmouth Road, he would not do anything to devalue his property. <br />
