her, it was very confusing to her who was presenting
the legal petitioner.
16 Great Neck R.oadNorth
Mashpee, .Massachusetts o2649
There has to be some type of representation from
LCP Update from Weston & Sampson
Mr. Lehrer had a meeting that morning with Ms. Wells and Ms. Sweet. He wants to lump his Town
Planner update in as well. He alluded to the contract issues with Citizenlab that have since been
resolved. They have access to the platform and will be actively populating over the next few weeks.
Since that was the goal to have the website available, accessible, and well populated prior to kick off,
they are proposing the weekend of Saturday, April 9th for the first Public Kickoff. That is prudent to
avoid conflict with the Boys and Girls Club event. If there are no major issues, they will work on
providing literature by way of social media, newspapers, and Mashpee TV PSA's to make people
aware. He is proposing the high school gymnasium as a venue. He would like to start in the morning,
around 10:00a.m. and run through launch time. He will be working with other departments and
consultants to identify needs for the space. There will be additional conversations with Boards to let
people know who, what, where, why and how. For him, the number one priority is the engagement
platform. There is a little learning curve with the site, the platform is user friendly and they have
complete authority over the page. Additionally, the Youth Engagement Toolkit has been received. He
will be meeting with the student committee when it can be arranged with all the schools. The project will
be branded with a logo and marketing materials and the kids will have authority to choose the design.
Lastly, the existing conditions chapters were provided. He did a round of comments and drafts will be
provided in word form then given to the Planning Board for comments as well as the committees with
applicable chapters. Those will be available at the end of the week.
Ms. Wells went through the web portal on her own time and noted there will be a functioning website
within a week or so. People can sign up for updates and start the preliminary surveys and the event
calendar will be populated. Existing conditions have gaps that will continue to be filled in as they talk
with stakeholders and the public. Save the dates for the workshop will go out, and she will provide
verbiage for Facebook ads for the town to post. Personal a -mails really drive the process and she will
provide language for that as well. This is the first and biggest workshop, but it is not the only one.
Mr. Balzarini would like to put signs up around the rotary as well as add information to the church
bulletin or a flyer.
Mr. Lehrer wants to nail every opportunity around town. He heard back from the Wampanoag Tribe and
Marie Stone has been named the Tribal Liaison.
Mr. Callahan mentioned reaching out to the Chamber.
Ms. Waygan inquired if they are meeting with committees and boards next week.
Mr. Lehrer is trying to get to multiple a day. The Historical Commission meets next Thursday and he
reached out to the Chair of the Affordable Housing Committee and EDIC to hold a joint meeting that
same date. He doesn't have confirmation, but it's in the works. He will also touch base with the
5
