Town of Mashpee <br /> m 16 Great Xeck 9aad Arth <br /> Masltpee,Massachusetts 02649 <br /> Minutes of Meeting of <br /> Design Review Committee <br /> Tuesday, May 3, 2022 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Design Review Committee Members Present: Dave Morris, Jonathan <br /> Furbush, Joe Callahan,-and Tyler Gaudreau.- <br /> Dave called the meeting to order at 8:30 am. <br /> 8:30 am Business name: Garrett's Family Market <br /> Project Address: 414 Nathan Ellis Hwy. <br /> Owner: MPG Corporation <br /> Representative: Peter Garrett <br /> Architect/En ineer: Jon Wyman <br /> Re_quest: Remodel of existing store & exterior signage, re- <br /> branding of the store, fuel canopy and ID sign. Existing <br /> building sq. footage to remain, (4,078 sq. ft.) <br /> Peter Garrett represented the request for new signage, and building <br /> renovations for the new business called Garrett's Family Market that is <br /> replacing the Shell Gas Station. The building footprint and roof line are not <br /> changing. The construction consists of re-siding with some brick material. <br /> There will be a new sign above the front entrance that will be internally lit. <br /> The two left front windows will be back filled to accommodate a manager's <br /> office. <br /> The Committee had concerns regarding the sign letter "G" (green) being <br /> back lit. The "Garrett"wording sign is opaque with halo lighting. The sign on <br /> the right side is a painted sign with sconces above. <br /> Dave mentioned that internal lighting is not allowed as noted under Section <br /> 174-52 (G) of the Zoning Bylaws. <br /> Mr. Garrett said he will review the material and lighting with his sign <br /> manufacturer. The sign is a composite material. There is a canopy sign that <br /> will be re-faced with halo lighting. The existing free standing sign will be re- <br /> configured with the new LED lettering, and are internally illuminated. <br /> Mr. Garret said that the gas pumps have LED numbering, and change <br /> electronically. <br /> 1 <br />
