There are presently two openings on the <br /> Report of the "Committee",one from Mashpee and on from <br /> South Cape Beach sandwich. <br /> Advisory Committee On behalf of the Committee,I would like to thank <br /> Representative David Vieira for his effort and <br /> To the Honorable Board of Selectmen and the cooperation on behalf of the Park. <br /> Citizens of the Town of Mashpee <br /> The Committee also expresses its thanks to the <br /> The South Beach State Park Advisory Committee Board of Selectmen,the Town Administrator,and other <br /> at its meetings during the year 2017 considered and Town officials for their input and cooperation. <br /> made many recommendations relative to the use and <br /> management of the South Cape State Park and its I also wish to thank James Rassman and other <br /> amenities. members of the WBNERR staff. <br /> Hunting I would like to thank the Committee members, <br /> Hunting is not a permitted use of the park under past and present, who have given their time anddedication. <br /> the terms of the 1981 "Agreement",but the Town By- <br /> laws do not prohibit such activity,and thus,the matter Respectfully submitted, <br /> is submitted to the Committee for its consideration each Jeralyn Smith,Chairman <br /> year. Robert Lancaster,Barnstable Representative <br /> There were no incidents reported pertaining to David Clarke,Falmouth Representative <br /> hunting during the 2017-2018 hunting season. The <br /> Committee voted to allow hunting for the 2018-2019 <br /> hunting season. This recommendation to permit . <br /> hunting is again probationary, and will be considered <br /> and reviewed each year. As in the past, signage will <br /> be posted in all safety zones as well as on Will's Work <br /> Road. r <br /> Will's Work Road <br /> The Committee has continued to express concern �+ <br /> over the condition of the road and its accessibility to <br /> emergency vehicles serving this section of the Park. <br /> The road was once again graded to insure access. We <br /> are still hoping to get the road redirected. We will <br /> continue to work for having this project funded. <br /> Other Matters <br /> A. The Park was unable to provide lifeguards <br /> this season. <br /> 168 <br />
