Chairman, Jonathan <br />Furbush is approaching his 12th year with the Board, <br />and continues to provide the Town his exceptional <br />support. Also, Vice -Chairman William A. Blaisdell and <br />Clerk Ronald Bonvie continue to demonstrate their <br />expertise assisting members of the Board and the Town <br />on all ZBA petitions. <br />The Zoning Board of Appeals heard a total of <br />sixty two (62) Petitions in calendar year 2016. Petition <br />fees and abutter notification fees in the amount of <br />$10,751.00 were collected in 2016. Construction <br />projects included additions, demolition/rebuilds, docks, <br />and remodel/renovations. The Board issued three (3) <br />Special Permits for Accessory Apartments located at <br />14 Aries Lane, 16 Papnomett Road, and 36 Valley <br />Road under §174-45.4 of the Zoning Bylaws. The <br />Board granted a Special Permit to Tesla Motors to <br />allow for sales, display, long term lease, and test drives <br />only at their business located at 11 Central Square in <br />the Mashpee Commons under § 174-25-F (2) of the <br />Zoning Bylaws. The Board issued two (2) Special <br />Permits to the Town of Mashpee for a dock, pier and <br />float reconstruction located at 664 Great Neck Road <br />South, and 388 Mashpee Neck Road under § 174- <br />25.I(9) of the Zoning Bylaws. <br />The Zoning Board of Appeals thanks Town <br />Manager Rodney Collins, Building Commissioner/ <br />Zoning Official Michael Mendoza, Town Planner F. <br />Thomas Fudala, and Town Counsel Patrick Costello for <br />their assistance and advice.
