7 Mashpee Select Board Minutes January 23, 2022 APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS Introduction andInformationfrom Eversource EversourcemCommun t� Relations 5ecialist Ronit Goldstein: Members of the Select Board met with Eversource Community Relations Specialist Ronit Goldstein to review general information and updates of activities on the Cape and within the 'Town of Mashpee. With the assistance of Ronit Goldstein the partnership of the two entities has increased favorably in communication and response. The Town Managers indicated that Ms. Goldstein has been very reliable and responsive to the needs of the Town of Mashpee. Appreciation was given to the Town's public safety officials who have played an active role in the partnership with Eversource. Discussion and Certification of the Kirin& Process for the Following in the Fire De artmentm Firefighter/Paramedicw Timothy Houde Administrative Assistant Jennifer Thomas: Correspondence was received from Fire Chief John F. Phelan dated January I t, 2023 requesting the Select Board certify the hiring process for Firefighter/Paramedic Timothy Houde and Administrative Assistant Jennifer Thomas. Town Manager Rodney C. Collins affirmed that all phases of the entry-level selection process have been adhered to in accordance with the New Hire Certification process. Motion made by Selectman Sherman to certify the Hiring Process for Firefighter/Paramedic Timothy Houde and Administrative Assistant Jennifer Thomas. Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Mr. Larkin indicated this resignation would not affect his current appointments with other town committees he currently serves on. Motion made by Selectman Sherman to accept with regret, the resignation of Ed Larkin from the Community Preservation Committee sending a letter of appreciation for his 18 years of service to this committee. Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0.
