The Chairman called this matter to order and entertained a motion be made in <br /> order to schedule a Public Hearing. <br /> MOTION: Dennis Balzarini made a Motion to schedule a Public Hearing in this <br /> matter for September 3, 2008 at 7:45 p.m.; which Motion was duly seconded by Thomas <br /> O'Hara and so voted unanimously. <br /> Board Item <br /> At this point the Chairman distributed copies of"Raindrops Keep Falling <br /> On.....Our Homes!"for Board review, as prepared by the Environmental Oversight <br /> Committee. <br /> Associate Member Position <br /> The Chairman recognized Mary Waygan,who stated that she has lived in <br /> Mashpee for the past seven(7)years and has familiarized herself with Town government, <br /> She is employed by the Town of Yarmouth. She has attended the Mashpee Town <br /> Meetings and has been inspired by how well educated everyone is and was encouraged to <br /> apply for the vacancy of the Planning Board Associate Member Position. <br /> Ms. Waygan has forwarded to the Board a letter of interest as well as a resume. <br /> She has worked in the Department of Community Development for the past three and <br /> one-half years. She also works in the Planning Department and has had some experience <br /> drafting bylaws, mostly in connection with Affordable Housing. She also works on <br /> environmental reviews for Community Development. <br /> The Chairman explained ajoint vote between the Board of Selectmen and the <br /> Planning Board is required to fill the position. The next meeting of the Board of <br /> Selectmen is scheduled for Monday, July 21,2008. <br /> Miscellaneous Items-Correspondence <br /> The Town Planner reported that the Commonwealth Cap Application has been <br /> submitted,hoping for a score of 103. <br /> There is an upcoming project in the Mashpee Industrial Park that will be before <br /> the Board. <br /> The monthly wastewater results,report for June with reference to South,Cape <br /> Village has been received, at total nitrogen of 5.5. <br /> There may be an ANR application submitted by Attorney Rob Mills for a 15-acre <br /> parcel. Owner/authorization is required. <br /> Monitoring report, Mashpee Commons,North Market Street. <br /> 11 <br />
