<br />The Committee agreed that tomato cages must be removed from the shed or they will be tossed out <br />and folding chairs cannot be stored in the shed as there isn’t any room for them. <br /> <br /> Native Plant Garden – Lynn Harris <br />Chair Scharfenberg stated that there will be a soil test done on the native plant garden area as plants <br />are not doing well there. <br />Lynn recommended planting Bearberry in the front, under the fence in the native plant garden. <br /> <br /> Water System, Water Pressure and Information on Potential New Direct Line – Chair <br />Scharfenberg <br />Chair Scharfenberg reported that she purchased new wands and they are all attached. She said she <br />spoke with Catherine Laurent, DPW Director regarding the water pressure and was told that the <br />problem with the poor water pressure was related to the old wands and, now that they’ve been <br />replaced, a new direct line is not needed. <br /> <br /> Legal Counsel Determination whether Garden Plots can be specified in the Rules and <br />Regulations as “Mashpee Residents Only” and whether “and Mashpee Property Owners” <br />should be added – Chair Scharfenberg <br />The Committee agreed that this item will be revisited in the future but, for now, “first preference to <br />the residents of Mashpee” will be included on the application. <br /> <br />Subsequently, the Committee agreed to keep the application the way that it currently is. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br /> <br />th <br /> June 17 Date for Gardener Gathering and Workday <br />th <br />The Committee agreed that the date be changed to June 10 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and the rain <br />th <br />date be June 11 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A task list will be drawn up to include weeding the <br />native garden and washing the shed windows. <br /> <br /> Board Subcommittees <br />This item was tabled and will be revisited at a future meeting. <br /> <br /> Planning for Future Bi-Monthly Talks <br />The Committee discussed having a future subcommittee put together the programing of bi-monthly <br />talks. <br /> <br /> New Video for Website and Distribution – Jay Sprout and Community Gardeners <br />Chair Scharfenberg stated that this isn’t at the top of the priority list and will be discussed once the <br />garden is up and running. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
