10 Mashpee Select Board Minutes December 4, 2023 APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS Public Comment: Ken Dembrowski commented on data that was previously submitted regarding real estate taxes and the assessment process. Greg McKelvey expressed appreciation to the Town staff who are dedicated and experts in their field. The Director of Public works was complimented for the work done at the Transfer Station. Favorable comments were also directed to the honest and straight -forward integrity of the Town Manager. NEW BUSINESS Interviews Discussion and Possible Ap�royal of the Following Appointment: MashPee-WakebyWLdke Manage ment Commit ggff qrn Ext Tres June _30µ 2024 )-,Allison Bernhardt The Select Board met with Allison Bernhardt to review her interest in joining the Mashpee-Wakeby Lake Management Committee. Ms. Bernhardt indicated she is a full-time resident, residing on the lake in the Mashpee Shores community. She attended the committee meeting last October and is interested in improving the conditions on the lake. Her appointment is highly regarded by the MWLMC as a valuable addition. Motion made by Selectman Wyman -Colombo to appoint Allison Bernhardt to the Mashpee-Wakey Lake Management Committee. Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. VOTE: 5-0. Unanimous. Roll Call Vote: Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none LIAISON REPORTS Intermunicipalm,g µeement: The Intermunicipal Agreements for both Popponesset Bay and Waquoit Bay Watersheds will be reported soon. Holiit Parade: The Annual Holiday Parade is scheduled to be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. in Mashpee Commons. The Select Board is invited to participate. The rain date is December 10h. CommunitymPark- The Annual Tree Lighting at the Community Park was well -attended with a visit from Santa to delight the children.
