11 <br />Mashpee Select Board <br />Minutes <br />December 4, 2023 <br />TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br />Snow Plow Contractors: Snow plow contractors are in dire need for the Town of Mashpee. The Town will do <br />its best with available resources. However, delays are anticipated if there is a major storm event. <br />Annual Organization Day.: Town offices with the exception of public safety will be closed on Friday, <br />December 15, 2023 for the Annual Staff Organization Day. <br />Holiday Events <br />Annual Homeless for the Holidays Event sponsored by the Mashpee Fire Department will be held on December <br />6, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. — 8:00 p.m. in the vicinity of the Mashpee Rotary. <br />The Mashpee Police Department is also on schedule with the Stuff a Bus, Toys for Tots event. <br />Bud, t,MeetiW: Respective Select Board liaisons are invited to attend the upcoming Budget Meetings on <br />December I Ith, 12t` and 14, 2023. Attendance should be coordinated with the Town Manager's Office. <br />Beach Nourishment Significant beach erosion occurred during the last November storm. It is projected that <br />1,000 tons of sand may be required for the restoration of the Town beach. <br />DER Correspondence was received from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) dated November <br />30, 2023 relative to the extension of the date required for Best Available Nitrogen Reducing Technology in <br />septic systems serving new construction in designated Natural Resource Nitrogen Sensitive Areas (NRNSA). <br />The date is extended to July 8, 2024. <br />/.1-11III" Z_300 I Do ON <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to adjourn at 7:25 p.m. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />VOTE: 5-0.
