16 Great Weck RoadWorth
-Mashpee, -Massachusetts 02649
inspection with a developer who bought the lots, now there are houses there, and it looked
good. They pumped out all catch basins as requested to clean debris and sediment. They
paved over some of the structures and brought them to grade. He will be back to look at the
work before they finish paving.
CHAIRS REPORT
Report on Chair's Activities
She met with Rodney Collins, Town Manager, as the newly elected Chair. She is happy to
report they can arrange for the Town Counsel to come meet in Executive Session. They also
discussed the recent Planning Department staffing changes.
TOWN PLANNER REPORT
New Work Schedule
Mr. Lehrer is sticking around in a limited capacity. He will be here Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 8:30PM - 4:30PM. He will try and be as responsive to emails on days he is not present.
He will have some Wednesday availability along with attending the Planning Board meetings.
Ms. Waygan stated the job opening was posted on June 3rd. Applications have been received
and interviews are happening, things are moving forward.
Local Comprehensive Plan Update
Mr. Lehrer commented about a month ago that he transmitted all chapters for the consultant to
put together. One thing he would like to better capture in the Heritage Preservation chapter is a
more substantive narrative on the Tribe. That element lacks quality relative to the Tribes
history. He asked that they offer some insight written in their voice as we were not successful
in capturing that appropriately. David Weeden has some interest in doing so but is unsure what
has transpired. It was also forwarded to the Historic Commission to see through their lens to
ensure we captured all Wampanoag elements, also with the town history intersection. It is
critical we bring this to Town Meeting. He asked the consultants to send a completed draft in
the event the succeeding Town Planner comes in and wants to see a finished document. A
draft will be provided absent of that insert this week. Ms. Waygan would like that whole email
to be sent to Brian Weeden. Mr. Lehrer will also send a draft to the Cape Cod Commission for
preliminary review.
Harbor Management Planning Committee Update
The Committee has not met recently due to quorum related challenges. The plan is
progressing, no changes to report as of the last update.
Housing Productive Plan Update
Mr. Lehrerwas trying to coordinate a meeting with the Chair of the Planning Board and Select
Board to go over specific issues and get to a point of adoption. Look out for an email to
coordinate based on dates provided.
.3
