16 Great Neck RoadNorth
-Mashpee, -Massachusetts 02649
Ms. Waygan will forward them a document from wildlife and fisheries about signs of a vernal
pool, even when dry. She is asking they use their resources and write a letter.
Mr. Yergatian is a professional engineer, and he had his wetland scientist. Yes, he can go
back but doing this ad nauseum is a waste of his time and insulting to his credentials. With the
revised plans he will provide a letter from a wetland scientist.
Concerns with Construction Noise: The homeowner who expressed health concerns related
to construction noises spoke with the developer personally. New Seabury will do their best to
mitigate noise. There is an open relationship there and numbers were exchanged so it will be
settled. They will contemplate construction times. Mr. Balzarini stated no Sundays and that
was agreed upon.
Open Space Stormwater Management: The easement contains 800s.f. and 4.9% total open
space. In 100-year-storm the water will occupy 4,400 s.f. During construction, a total of 5,800
s.f. will be disturbed to construct and that is 3.25% open space total. That provision allows up
to 10%.
Mr. Hansen commented about the overhead lighting for the sign. Mr. Yergatian suggested a
spotlight on top pointing down or pointing up. It will be a residentially tasteful spotlight.
Conditions are dark light compliant with conventional residential style spotlight. It was
discussed possibly adding another light to illuminate entryway.
Ms. Faulkner asked about the vegetative plan. Open space is trees, percentage wise, how
much is being cut down to take out the structure? Many trees will remain, natural growth will
ensue.
Mr. Lehrer was unclear of the size and quality of structure, given there is a tree growing
through the house that concern is mitigated.
Mr. Pesce thinks once they remove the two buildings, they won't even know they were there.
He thinks BSC Group has a way forward to mitigate and address all previous comments. This
is that step where he would recommend, based on conditions, they addressed all comments
by the Board Engineer and revisions on plans were discussed tonight.
Ms. Waygan would like to keep the Public Hearing open to get all plans with dates and give the
Board one last chance to draft up a decision with conditions, The applicant would have a
chance to look at the draft in public session and make comments.
Mr. Lehrer will write the draft decision and submit it to the Town Counsel for final review.
MOTION:
El
