16 Great Neck RoadNorth
-Mashpee, -Massachusetts 02649
conditions go with the next tenant? Mr. Fudala answered that it stays with the land. A couple of
neighbors think lamp posts would look nicer, like other homes. That street has no lighting, so
lightbulbs would be preferred. Mr. Fudala stated it would be something to discuss with the
DPW. They could put in a real streetlight if that's what is needed.
Mr. Hansen said the school bus stop is right at Old Colony, we could condition a streetlight on
Old Colony and Ashumet.
Leonard Pocknett- Two of his questions were answered, one about the footprint and the other
about exit and entrance. The north side entrance next to the offices has a depression in the
ground. It was answered that there will be a rain garden in the depression.
Mohamad Fand- All points were perfect; he came with a list and all was answered.
MOTION:
Mr. Balzarini made a motion to continue this Public Hearing to November 6, 2024
at 7:10PM. Seconded by Ms. Faulkner. All in favor.
List of items to condition:
- Restore to natural vegetative state or add native plants/grass/shrubs to landscape
- Remove asphalt
- Reflective tape or light at entry/street
- Show stockade fencing in plan as previously shown
- Revised plan to be reviewed by Consulting Engineer
Review and vote on the Board's recommendation to Town Meeting regarding the
proposed acceptance, by petition, of the layout of Watson Drive as a public way.
Mr. Pesce commented he never saw this plan and was unaware the town is looking to make
this a public way. It would be accepting all drainage facilities, which are lacking catch basins.
They are listed but he doesn't know the status or performance. He is not looking to throw
doubt, it may be operating perfectly fine. He is unsure when it was built. If the DPW doesn't
have a problem, he doesn't have a problem. In his review right now, he does not see any
issues. The plan shows no infrastructure or water lines. There is a hydrant and water lines on
site.
Mr. Fudala stated the road taking plans are just a layout.
Mr. Pesce stated he would like to know about the drainage easements. It would also be nice to
know what the town is accepting and advise it to be inspected. In the future he would like more
3
