-2-
purposes. He asked if we could let the commission know as soon as possible about our
vote on removing the pump house.
Brian Hyde made a motion that we seek CPA funding to do a feasibility study of
adaptive reuse regarding the Chop Chapque Barn. Richard seconded the motion, and it
was voted unanimously. Ava will make an appointment with Catherine Laurent to
inform her about our plans. Ava will be preparing the CPA application for this project,
and she asked Brian to check as to when it should be submitted. Ava said she would
stop by the Native Land Conservancy to see what their thinking is about this building.
Richard made a motion to approve demolishing and removing the pump house at the
Chop Chaque Bog. It was seconded by Brian, and was voted unanimously. Ava will
notify the Conservation Commission.
J. Marie Stevenson informed us about her committee - the Diversity and Inclusion
Committee. She was interested to meet with us to become more familiar with our
Commission members and the projects we are currently working on. Her committee is
interested in having the different commissions and committees work more closely
together. She expressed an interest in setting up a Mashpee Information Center
perhaps near the Mashpee Commons. She feels the strong tribal influence is a big part
of this community, and we should inform visitors about that so they will be more familiar
with the history of our town and clarify what the identity of our community is.
Brian made a motion that we approve the Minutes of both the September 25t" and
August 1st MHC Meetings. It was seconded by Richard, and it was voted unanimously.
We set the next meeting date at November 7th at 4:00pm.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was proposed at 6:15 pm by Richard DeSorgher and
seconded by Nancy Soderberg.
Respectfully submitted
Ann Graham, Sr. Clerk
