16 Great Neck RoadNorth <br />.Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br />TOWN PLANNER REPORT <br />Mr. Fudala added the wastewater report for South Cape Village to the packet. <br />He would like to set a Public Hearing date for the road taking of Watson Drive. <br />MOTION: <br />Mr. Balzarini made a motion to set a Public Hearing for the road taking of Watson <br />Drive for October 16, 2024 at 7:20p.m. Seconded by Mr. Richardson. All in favor. <br />If the town is going to take this over, the DPW wants to know what infrastructure is in the <br />ground now, there is an easement that shows drainage. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Cape Cod Commission- One Cape is going on today and tomorrow. Vision <br />Zero came in and is taking public comment about the <br />new traffic action plan for the region. Once she gets <br />links to PowerPoints and videos she will share them. <br />Mashpee would have to apply to be a seasonal <br />community, but it allows relief if the town qualifies, it <br />must meet certain criteria. There is a grant for the <br />construction of tiny homes, that would require zoning, <br />most of it will have an income component. <br />Charter Review Committee- Discussion about state legislation home rule, how you <br />adopt and amend a Charter. Town Meeting would <br />determine major changes like term or appointments, <br />by a commission that is elected. Most are allowed via <br />Committee proposal, some items under the Town <br />Manager section necessitate a commission. <br />Community Preservation <br />Committee- <br />The Warrant has 2 CPC Articles, one being 475 <br />Nathan Ellis highway. The property at 151 Gooseberry <br />was taken off and an appraisal was ordered. <br />Design Review- <br />Old Kenmark building at 340 Main St. Signage is <br />within parameters, the only issue was the sign must <br />be 5 feet from end of property line. Mr. Balzarini will fill <br />in for Ms. Faulkner at the October 1 st meeting. <br />Plan Review- <br />No Report <br />Environmental Oversight <br />Committee- <br />No Meeting <br />5 <br />
