She noted that Karyn has done a remarkable job in
keeping the website up, performing her administrative duties in the Wastewater Department and keeping
up with the Sewer Commission meeting minutes while we are looking for a Recording Secretary. Kudos
and thanks to Karyn for all she does and also thanks to the Wastewater Department's newest member,
Ashley Fisher, for also helping us stay afloat with what the Commission is required to do.
The Chair reminded the Commissioners that the Annual Report was due in February and requested their
assistance in shaping the report for the next year.
The Chair thanked Mr. Meader for working with the contractor to get the fence installed for the pump
station at Summerwood.
The Chair talked about the idea of suggesting to the Town Manager and Select Board that a fresh water
group be established to address all the issues of all our ponds and having it managed by one group. She
noted that there's a Mashpee-Wakeby management committee, but they're only looking at one water of
body. So, why not have a fresh water initiative so the people who are concerned are was discussing and
sharing information to assist in the clean water initiative. Mr. Meader suggested that Ashley present what
something like that could look like at the next meeting. Having something more outlined and presented
to Town Manager would be more efficient. The Commissioners thought Mr. Meader's recommendation
was a great idea.
3
