Revise: add narrative related to the <br /> County Bathing Beach Water Quality Program. <br /> o Clarification regarding other water bodies included in the plan, specifically <br /> Quaker Run. <br /> ■ Incorporate this information into the Shoestring Bay sampling location <br /> narrative (send to Ms. Hogan) <br /> o Graphs—The final decision has been made to include only the Total Nitrogen <br /> graph in this section. <br /> ➢ Wastewater <br /> o Page 39, last paragraph, in relation to the Recommended Plan and Final <br /> Environmental Impact Report. Suggestion: rearranging according to their <br /> importance. <br /> ■ Recommendation#2, specifically the wording related to "shellfish <br /> aquaculture." Alternative: "Implementing the Wastewater Management <br /> Plan and utilizing shellfish within the environment as a secondary <br /> treatment method." <br /> ➢ Fertilizer All set as presented. <br /> ➢ Issues and Opportunities <br /> o No. 1 -Revision: Narrative to include finned fish, crustaceans, and shellfish. <br /> o No. 6 & No. 8 -Recommendation: removal from the narrative. However, if <br /> retained, suggestion: include an action plan to address the issues. <br /> o No. 6 -Additional details might be necessary. Specificity regarding what pertains <br /> to the Town of Mashpee would be valuable. Suggestion: add the phrase <br /> "pollution from mooring fields in a specified area." <br /> o No. 6—Revise: recommendation to be tailored to fit both the water quality and <br /> fishing/shellfishing sections. <br /> o "Issues and Opportunities" (Page 41), Suggestion: splitting into two separate <br /> topics. Recommendation: breaking down this section in a tangible manner, <br /> which can also be rephrased. However, the final decision has not yet been <br /> reached, and further discussion tbd. <br /> o No. 11 & No. 12 —Suggestion: Removal of both. <br /> ■ Recommendation: Adding an action to explore additional opportunities <br /> for collaboration related to No. 11. <br /> ■ Revise: Remove No. 12 <br /> Goals, Objectives, and Recommendations <br /> o Objectivel: Water Quality Monitoring Program—No. 1 Estuary Project is a <br /> voluntary program with no alternative options available, Suggestion: Removal <br /> from the list entirely <br /> o No. 2—Recommendation: including the percentage of contribution from each <br /> Town. Incorporate a recommendation for additional PFAS testing of surface <br /> waters and tidal river systems, along with assessing the bioaccumulation of <br /> various species in our embankments. <br /> 6 <br />
