MINUTES June 15, 1989 4 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Costa requested both Health Agents to notify the haulers of this <br /> Boards decision. <br /> 11 . ) Repair plan - Labute for lot 90 Lakeside Trailer Park - Mr. Evans <br /> informed the Board this repair was discussed at a prior meeting. <br /> 12. ) Copy - Mashpee Sewer Commission Mtg. minutes of May 10, 1989 - Mr. <br /> Doherty informed the Board preliminary reports from J.C.A. were sub- <br /> mitted on hydrological studies of the proposed Mashpee Wastewater <br /> Treatment Facility and commented sites were narrowed down to two areas. <br /> Mr. Doherty stated the proposed sites are privately owned and are currently <br /> securing permission to conduct test boring on those sites. <br /> Mr. Doherty stated discussions took place at this meeting regarding the <br /> proposed Popponesset Package Treatment Plant and the problems arising <br /> with D.E.Q.E. . <br /> Mr. Costa stated he would like to draft a letter to D.E.Q.E. in re- <br /> sponse to the plant at Popponesset. Mr. Costa commented Fields Point <br /> has incorporated the problem areas into the plant and explained that <br /> D.E.Q.E. has denied their plans. Mr. Costa explained that D.E.Q.E. <br /> will not issue the permit however if permit is obtained at a later <br /> date the three problems buildings will be excluded from the plant <br /> Mr. Costa reiterated his earlier comments stating a letter should be <br /> drafted by this Board stating our disapproval of their denial to issue <br /> the permit and allow the problems buildings to hooks up into the plant. <br /> Mr. Greelish commented he would like to discuss with New Seabury how <br /> they would bind those properties and the support costs for the plant. <br /> Mr. Greelish explained D.E.Q.E. cannot object as long as it is done in <br /> perpetuity. <br /> Mr. Doherty suggested the plant be turned into a Munincipal Plant which <br /> would satisfy D.E.Q.E. ' s requirements. <br /> 13. ) F.Y. I . , Copy- Memo from Peter Folejewski ( Housing Developers) re: <br /> local job termination - The Board acknowledged receiving the memo. <br /> 14. ) Private Well Protection Workshop, Thursday, June 29, 1989 @ 6:45 p.m. <br /> Lakeville Hospital - The Board acknowledged receiving the workshop <br /> announcement. <br /> 15. ) F.Y. I . - List of town owned roads - The Board acnowledged receiving <br /> the information. <br /> 16. ) F.Y. I . - Flyer - Martha' s Vineyard Recycling program - Mr. Costa re- <br /> quested additional bumper stickers be obtained. <br /> 17. ) D.E.Q.E. Title V Workshop - Essex Aggy. - Mr. Evans stated Title V <br /> is undergoing changes and does not recommend a Agent to attend this <br /> meeting. <br /> The Board was in agreeance. <br />
