MINUTES July e, 1989 5 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Sanicki explained that the town assessors map delineates the five <br /> lots as one. Mr. Sanicki suggested a common well which will service the <br /> two dwellings if the land across the streeet is not purchased. Mr. Sanicki <br /> suggested the owner consult with his attorney as 'to what rights they would <br /> have on the land purchased and if it would be feasible. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated if this is considered one, as far as water service <br /> goes, then the Board should consider having the cesspool to the little <br /> cottage tied into the new septic system. <br /> Mr. Sanicki commented an elevation problem exists in reference to the <br /> cottage which would require pumping. <br /> 5. ) Submittal of "Final Environmental Impact Report" for Quashnet Woods <br /> sub iyision - Mr. McQuaid informed the Board this project, wn—IcT was <br /> originally proposing 583 units has been reduced to 180 units on 40 acres <br /> of land. Mr. McQuaid stated the owners have donated to the town over <br /> 300 acres of reserved space and commented they currently are in the pro- <br /> cess of securing permits for a wastewater treatment plant. <br /> Mr. Costa commented that package treatment plants are not looked upon <br /> favorably. <br /> Mr. McQuaid suggested Mr. Fagan from D.E.Q.E. attend a Sewer Commission <br /> meeting to explain why D.E.Q.E. favors a subregional treatment plant <br /> over package treatments plants. <br /> 6. ) A & J Trucking lease agreement with DiMaggio - Mr. Doherty stepped down <br /> from this issue as he found this to be a conflict of interest. <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board he did speak with Town Counsel who for- <br /> warded a "Release of All Demands" form which states that should S. Joseph <br /> DiMaggio file bankruptcy A & J Trucking would not hold the town responsible <br /> for any outstanding bills. Mr. McQuiid stated Mr. DiMaggio has fowarded <br /> his signature to this release form and will return it with the corporate <br /> seal . <br /> the Board acknowledged receiving this information. <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board Mr. DiMaggio did submit a letter this after- <br /> noon which is addressed to the Board. <br /> At this time Mr. Costa read the letter which states as follows : <br /> July 6, 1989 to the Board of Selectmen, Board of Health town of Mashpee : <br /> Gentlemen : <br /> "This letter is to inform you that the Cape Cod Bank & Trust has <br /> approved a letter of credit in your favor in the amount of $210,000.00 <br /> on behalf of S. J. DiMaggio. This letter will expire on September 1 , <br /> 1992. We are in the process of preparing the necessary documents, these <br /> documents should be available to you before July 13, 1989." <br /> Very Truly Yours , <br /> Elaine M.
