MINUTES July 6, 1989 6 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Costa stated this Board is awaiting the insurance binder which <br /> should be forthcoming shortly. <br /> 7. ) Memo from Selectman Gottlieb to E. virgilio re: Landfill operation - <br /> The Board acknowledged receiving a copy of the memo. <br /> 8. ) Copy of memo from B.O.H. to DiMaggio & Virgilio re: Landfill contract - <br /> The Board reviewed and acknowledged the memo. <br /> 9. ) Copy of letter from Orin Evans to Joan Tavares re: Pow-Wow - The <br /> Board commended Mr. Evans on his inspections and report of the Pow-Wow. <br /> 10. ) Request from Tom Fudaia to B.O.H. re: Attendance at Town Hall Bldg. <br /> Comm. mtg. on 7 11 89 at 3:00 - Mr. Costa requested Mr. McQuaid attend <br /> this meeting. <br /> 11 . ). Copy of surface water analysis - F.Y.I . - The Board reviewed the analysis. <br /> 12. ) Request for temp. landfill passes - Sandra Faxon - Mr. Costa stated this <br /> Board cannot issue temporary landfill passes for weekly rentals. Mr. Costa <br /> requested Mr. McQuaid to inform Ms. Faxon that she will have to secure the <br /> services of a private hauler for rubbish picK-up. <br /> Mr. Greelish motioned to deny the request for temporary landfill passes , <br /> Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> 13. ) Copy of memo from SEMASS to Executive Secretary re : Advance notice of <br /> commencement - The Board acknowledged receiving the memo. <br /> 14. ) Memo from Dept. of Public Health re: Survey of bottled water - The Board <br /> acknowledged receiving the memo. <br /> 15. ) Memo from Dept. of Public Health re: Imported canned mushrooms from China - <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed the Board Mr. Evans has prepared a letter which will <br /> be forwarded to all Mashpee food service establishments. <br /> The Board reviewed the letter and forwarded their approval for issuance <br /> to all Mashpee food service establishments. <br /> 16. ) Board of Appeals agenda for July 19, 1989 - F.Y.I. - The Board acknowl- <br /> edged receiving a copy of -the agenda. <br /> 17. ) Memo from Executive Secretary to Board of Health re: Kim Andrade com- <br /> plaint about Lapio s Barn - Mr. McQuaid explained this Board had re- <br /> quested the Building Inspector's opinion on the status of the barn and <br /> commented Mr. Boyd has stated in writing that this matter is currently <br /> in litigation. Mr. McQuaid stated he forwarded a memo to Town Counsel <br /> which requested a update on the status of the litigation. <br /> Mr. Doherty questioned Mr. McQuaid as to whether the owners have been <br /> issued a "Notice of Violation" , as they have not complied with Board of <br /> Health regulations. <br /> Mr. Costa responded that this Board is awaiting Town Counsel ' s decision <br /> as to whether this Board may enforce this regulation. <br />
