2 <br /> <br />Community Preservation Committee <br />Minutes <br />July 5, 2011 <br /> <br />Present: Richard Halpern, Tom O’Hara, Ed Larkin, Evelyn Buschenfeldt, <br /> Mary Waygan, Ralph Shaw, Burt Kaplan <br /> <br />Absent: Diane Rommelmeyer, Frank Lord <br /> <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Halpern at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room #3 <br /> <br /> MINUTES: <br /> <br /> Tuesday, June 7, 2011: <br /> <br /> Motion made by Ms. Waygan to approve the minutes of Tuesday, <br /> June 7, 2011 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. O’Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 7-0. <br /> <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Halpern, yes Mr. O’Hara, yes <br /> Mr. Larkin, yes Mrs. Buschenfeldt, yes <br /> Ms. Waygan, yes Mr. Shaw, yes <br /> Mr. Kaplan, yes Opposed, none <br /> <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS: <br /> <br /> Public Comment: <br /> <br />Maxine Wolfset representing the Mashpee Environmental Coalition expressed <br />support moving forward with the Santuit Pond restoration project. Ms. Wolfset <br />indicated it is time to move ahead to clean-up the pond. Jennifer Jackman stated <br />that it is very timely the Community Preservation Committee is addressing this <br />issue as she is seeing wildlife diminish in the Santuit Pond area. <br /> <br />At the last meeting, the CPC Committee discussed the use of Clean-Flo <br />Restoration as an alternative for Santuit Pond. As a result of this discussion, John <br />Kabat distributed information to the Committee relative to the SolarBee <br />installations misrepresented by competitors as “failures” in an email dated June <br />16, 2011.
