MINUTES January 7, 1993 4 BOARD OF HEALTH
Mr. McQuaid commented, "D.E.P. is investigating the wa-
ter source approval for the complex. "A letter was forwarded
to the Condominium Association allotting a time frame in
which they are required to tie-into public water or submit
engineering plans for a non-community public well to service
the entire condominium association. " "The Country Club de-
velopment is now under separate ownership from the condo-
minium part of the development and therefore the proposed
public well, which was to be located within the perimeters of
the Country Club, is no longer under their ownership. " "Mr.
Michaels received notification and responded in writing to
D.E.P. that he will comply with their requirements. " "In my
opinion this is a minor water increase usage and is insig-
nificant in resolving the water supply issue for the
project. "
Mr. Greelish requested Mr. Pesce to relocate the septic
tank 50' from the existing well .
Mr. Doherty motioned to grant the State and local vari-
ances as requested with the following stipulations; the engi-
neer shall submit revised plans delineating the septic tank
50" from. the existing . well and -the owner of garage #6
Quashnet-Valley East Condominiums 'shall file a deed restric-
tion with the Registry of Deeds which states garage #6 will
be utilized solely for the purpose of office space, no habit-
able space *will' be permitted.', Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed.
4 I r
APPOINTMENT: Edward Pesce - 20 Kim Path
Mr. Pesce and Mr. Barns; owner of #20 Kim Path, was in
attendance for this scheduled appointment.
Mr. Barns informed Board members he is proposing to re--
model his home. "The dwelling will remain a 3 bedroom home
with 2 bathrooms. " "Remodeling will encompass approximately
150 to 180 additional square feet of habitable living space. "
Mr. Pesce relayed, the owner is not increasing the num-
ber of bedrooms. "If the Board concludes the septic system
is to be upgraded it will require mounding. " "I do not feel
the soils are perkable however, should soils perk would the
Board accept strip-out as an option. "
Mr. McQuaid stated perk tests indicate groundwater is
between 5.5' and 6. 5' therefore does not appear to present a
problem. "I would recommend the engineer proceed with the
installation of a Title V system, should any problems arise
the engineer is to consult with a health agent. "
