" "Today, I attended a meeting with David Hall , the
County Commissioner's and representatives from Barnstable,
Sandwich and Falmouth to discuss siting of the M.R.F. on the
base. " }"The prevailing thought was that only if it dial not
eliminate private enterprise would the Base even consider it
as there were traffic concerns, etc. " "They would require
-the County to do an equivalent to, M.E.P.A. processes with
public input and specifically requesting those public enter-
prises - which `are engaged' in recycling to come in and
comment. " "They would accept a letter from the Board of Man-
agers of the Regional Transfer Station in support of this
process. " "The idea is that since the Board of Managers now
controls the lease over the land where this potential trans-
fer site would be that they would have the main
jurisdiction. "
Discussion took place regarding the M.R.F. .
Mr. Doherty motioned to direct Mr. McQuaid to inform the
Board of Manager's that this Board will not support the Mu-
nicipal Recycling Facility siting at the Base, Mr. Ball sec-
onded, all agreed.
7 . ) variance requests - 88 Shorewood Court, 31 Starboard
Lane
88 SHOREWOOD COURT - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "As the new
regulation in effect the owner is now required to tie-into
public water once available.
Questions were raised regarding break-out calculations.
Mr. McQuaid recommended Board members continue this
variance request as break-out calculations may be incorrect
and abutting septic and well locations are not identified on
plans.
Board members agreed to continue this variance request
pending revised plans.
