'" <br /> Mr. Doherty questioned Mr. Greene as to whether they <br /> have approached New Seabury. <br /> Mr. Greene responded, . "Mo they have not. " <br /> Mr. Cash recommended the Board work with the Waquoit Bay <br /> Association. <br /> Mr. Greelish explained, "The Waquoit Bay Association is <br /> probably many years away from having any kind of authority on <br /> this type of project. " "New Seabury is still operating under <br /> their Special Permit however, it is not applicable to Board <br /> of Health requirements. " <br /> Mr. Greene questioned Board members as to whether their <br /> group could expedite things. <br /> Mr. Greelish responded, "We would have to research the <br /> matter. " <br /> Mr. Doherty questioned whether this subdivision would be <br /> referred to the Cape Cod Commission. <br /> Mr. McQuaid responded, "I do not believe so. " "I am un- <br /> sure as to whether a hydro-geo study would be required by the <br /> Planning Board for this subdivision. "' <br /> Mr: Greelish relayed, "The Planning Board now requires <br /> ' the Board of Health to determine whether a hydrogeo. study is <br /> necessitated. " <br /> Mr. Cash recommended the Board request the State inter- <br /> cede to protect the wildlife. <br /> Mr. Greelish commented, "This town does not have a re- <br /> striction that's enforceable that limits nitrogen loading in <br /> sensitive areas. " "The Planning Board has used their initia- <br /> tive to require the Developer's to voluntarily limit nitrogen <br /> loading. " "This Board will require a hydrogeo. study and <br /> there will be many more hearings on the subdivision. " '"We <br /> will notify those attending this evening of any upcoming <br /> hearings on the matter. " <br /> I <br /> Mr. Greene commented, "Flat Pond is the only area in <br /> Mashpee where white perch come in to spawn. " "It is a valu- <br /> able resource. " "It is a very shallow, fragile pond and does <br /> not have a massive flushing system from the ocean. " <br />
