" <br /> 5. ) Letter from B.O.H. to Fiesta Shows - Mr. Evans relayed <br /> "Melinda Gallant is requesting a permit to operate a carnival <br /> at Mashpee Commons. " "It is a fund raiser and will be spon= <br /> sored by Fiesta Shows on behalf of the Visiting Nurses -As- <br /> sociation. " "Plans submitted are not adequate. " <br /> Mr. Doherty directed Mr. Evans to request Fiesta Shows <br /> provide a locust map and layout of the carnival. <br /> Mr. Greelish motioned to issue a temporary food service <br /> permit to Fiesta Shows with the stipulation all State and lo- <br /> cal requirements are met, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> John's Pond water quality <br /> Selectmen George Costa and Selectmen Nancy Caffyn were <br /> in attendance. <br /> Mr. McQuaid presented the Field Work Investigations re- <br /> port which was distributed at the most recent T.E.A.C. meet- <br /> ing. Mr. McQuaid reviewed the report with all parties <br /> present. In conclusion, Board members agreed not to post the <br /> pond although extreme low levels of contaminants were found <br /> in the groundwater, none have been detected in the pond over <br /> the last several years of testing. Further elaborate discus- <br /> sion is scheduled to take place at the upcoming Selectmen's <br /> meeting with Mr. Edward Pesce from Otis and Mr. Jim Begley <br /> from D.E.P. . <br /> Being no further business Mr. Ball motioned to adjourn this <br /> meeting at 9: 15 p.m. , Mr. Greelish seconded, all agreed. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Veronica Warden, Adm.
