y <br /> MINUTES August 12, 1993 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> 4 <br /> Board members agreed to submit an article in the upcom- <br /> ing town meeting to raise and appropriate $50 ,600.00 for ad- <br /> ditional costs associated with the landfill closure plan.. " <br /> Regional Treatment Plant '- Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I received <br /> a call from an official in the town of Taunton who said their <br /> treatment plant will be operational within the next two years <br /> and will have excess capacity. " "They would be willing to <br /> sign a long term commitment with the town of Mashpee to ac- <br /> cept our septage. "' <br /> Mr. Greelish relayed, "I spoke with that official from <br /> Taunton and requested he attend an upcoming meeting. " <br /> Mr. Greelish stated, "The Executive Secretary is the <br /> person who is to come up with an amount for the regional <br /> treatment plant costs. " <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "The Executive Secretary is unsure <br /> as to the amount. " <br /> Mr. Greelish stated, "I would propose the article state <br /> to raise and appropriate $12 ,700.00 for 50% of the funds ex- <br /> pended on the design revisions. " <br /> Mr. McQuaid questioned whether additional bills will be <br /> forthcoming for the remainder of this fiscal year. <br /> Mr. Greelish responded, "No, but we will have to address <br /> something in the Spring. " <br /> Board members agreed to submit an article in the upcom- <br /> ing town meeting to raise and appropriate $12 ,700.00 which <br /> represents 50% of the costs relating to the Regional Treat- <br /> ment Plant design revisions. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Leonard Petz.e - 22 Taffrail Road <br /> Mr. Petze was in attendance for this scheduled appoint- <br /> ment. <br /> Mr. Petze informed Board members, "I am proposing to <br /> construct a garage. " "The New Seabury architectural review <br /> committee requires the garage be placed parallel to the house <br /> therefore, the garage would have to be constructed on top of <br /> the septic tank.'" "We propose to place a manhole inside the <br /> garage to access the tank. " <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed Mr. Petze D.E.P. 's policy on slab <br /> foundations is 10' between the tank and the foundation if <br /> 4bthere is living space above." <br />
